Born to be Wild

 

wild creatures are brought to us by people like you,

 

often injured or exhausted they are rescued to,

 

we do all we can to keep them stress free,

 

in the hope one day to be released by me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Spotted Fly Catchers

 

 

       

      4 baby chicks

 

    Came to us after mother

    abandoned them,following

    a cat attack on their nest.

 

    Arrived June 2008

 

    Sucessfuly hand reared

 

    Released back into the wild

 

 

 

 

 

Ring Necked Dove

 

 

    Adult ring necked dove

 

    Flew into telephone wires

 

    Damaged wing

 

   Successfull released into its natural habitat

 

 

Little Owl

 

 This little fella hurt himslef flying into the   window of a nursing home in Newton Aycliffe.  The good people there called us and we went and rescued him.  Not quite well enough yet to be returned to the wild - but he is coming along nicely.  As soon as he is up to full strength, we will be making arrangments for him to return to his natural habitat.

Above are pictures of baby swallows.  The wild swallow's nest in our stables every year.

 

 

 

At present we are currently caring for an injured hedgehog. He will be released shortly.
