Well Summer is here and wow it's hot.  Don't forgot if you have pets outside to make sure they have plenty of water and shelter.

Kevin and the gang have been really busy pulling old dilapidated buildings down to make way for the new.  What a difference it has made.  They have built the guinea pigs a new outside enclosure and it looks good.  The buildings are comig along nicely but if you can help with donating any building materials I am sure they would be very welcome and appreciated.  As you know donations are not as easy to get now with the current economic situation and we really appreciate you can do to help.  Unfortunately until we receive more donations we are in limbo.  On that note I would like to say a BIG thank you to Eldon Hope Building Materials for their donations.

It a busy time at the moment all the horses have been seen by Jonathan, the farrier and even Ned and Jack the donkeys have seen him although Ned was a bit naughty!  Larry and Duke (the sheep) have been clipped ready for the really hot weather, they look great. 

The gang will be at Morrisons on Saturday 28/06/10 at Bishop Auckland 10.00-4.00 if you want to say hi or why not come to and see us at Spennymoor Gala, Saturday 1 July we are holding a stall there also.  Then we have our open day at the sanctuary Sunday 2 July 11.00 - 3.00 please come along.  We have stalls, refreshments, tombola, face painting and a fun dog show which starts at 1.00pm.  Why not come, bring your dog and join in the show, meet the animals at the sanctuary and see the animals they have for re-homing.  Admission is 50p and the dog show entry is £1 per class per entry.  See your Fund raising activities page for more information.

Kevin and the gan need volunteers.  If you can help in any way from dog walking,  manning stalls, caring for the rodents/animals to knitting please contact Amanda 07817880770 for more information.

Don't forget to look at the animals for rehoming, we have some real sweeties.
